Interest Form: WWES International Night - Around the World with Wayne (Thur May 16, 6-7:30pm)
On behalf of the WWES PTA, we are so excited to bring to you "Around the World with Wayne" our 3nd annual WWES International Night. We're excited to lift up and learn about the unique experiences, heritage and adventures of our school community, and would love your help and ideas.  Please let us know this month if you are interested so that we can begin planning for space and supplies!

--Date/Time - May 16, 6pm - 7:30pm (proposed)
--Location:  Outdoors, Waynewood Elementary School (rain plan - gym)
Event Overview:
-- A centerpiece of the evening is to have "country booths" hosted by WWES families/groups of families; attendees will get a passport to have stamped as they visit each booth.
-- We also hope to have live entertainment and art
--Please note there are no "requirements" about who can participate, other than curiosity and appreciation (and your time)!

FAQs about hosting a booth:
1)  Country "booths" provide an opportunity for WWES families to share more about their country of interest. Last year WWES families came together to host 17 country booths.
2)  We are looking for "lead host" and "supporting role" for each country.  Last year, we were able to match families who were interested in the same country and hope to do the same this year. Don't worry, we will make sure you have support if you are interested!
3)  The PTA provides the following to each country booth:  6ft folding table, table cloth, a blank tri-fold display board (for facts/information about your country), plates, napkins, cups, food service gloves, country sign, passport stamp/sticker.  We are exploring ways to directly support any food-related expenses.
4)   Families choose what to include at their booth based on their interest and time.  Last year, many families included a food sample, facts about their country, artifacts, played music, etc. Some families dressed up.
5) Once we have heard back from interested families, we will send out a separate coordinating message to connect families who signed up for the same country, and provide visibility on food plans to avoid duplication.

Thank you so much for responding. Contact Anu Grover (internationalnight@waynewoodpta.org) if you have any questions!

Please share the names/grades of your kids at WWES (we will be recognizing all family members as "hosts" for countries).
1.  Country booth interest - top choice:  Can you please share the country you are most interested in, and briefly share why? *
2.  Country booth interest - Alternate:  Is there another country you are interested in? If yes, please share why, otherwise write N/A
3.  Country booth interest - roles:  Describe your over all interest/availability? *
4.  Entertainment and craft ideas:  Do you have any talents or ideas for other activities we feature during the event? Examples:  I/my child can write children's names in a foreign language, can sing/dance/play a musical instrument from another country, etc.
5.  Vendor suggestions:  We are excited to engage Fort Hunt/Mount Vernon local businesses. Do you have any suggestions for local food/grocery/arts vendors who may want to have a stall or perform?  Food truck recommendations are also welcome!
6. Military families - dedicated booth/or display:  We have many families who have been stationed abroad, and/or who have family members who family members deployed all over the world.  Please let us know if you would be interested in being included (details TBD).
