Creative Stacked Stitches: May 21
This one-day course is for those who would like to learn how to make base stitches and stack other stitches on them to create interesting designs for use on Crazy Quilts or to enhance clothing and other items.  You will be using threads made from silk and cotton along with beads and buttons.  Students will learn the proper way of sewing on beads, how to make beads stand up, how to couch cords and weave fibers through your embroidery.

Students will received a detailed instruction sheet for each stitch taught as well as others they may not get to during this class.  If you need help with a challenging stitch, let your instructor Penny Mace help you be successful with that stitch and others.  Penny will contact students prior to class to answer questions and help with supplies, if needed.

1.  The one-day class is limited to 12 students.
2.  Class hours: 9 am to 4:00 pm
3.  Students will need to bring scissors, a variety of preferred sewing needles, embroidery floss, silk ribbon, other fiber choices, beads, and other embellishments as well as a task light and extension cord.  A seat cushion is useful. Students also need to provide a prepared foundation or other fabric to practice on.
3.  $60 class fee paid to the Tavern plus a $5 to $10 material fee paid to the instructor.
4.  Classes will be held in the Tavern Meeting Building, directly behind the Tavern
