Students take all electives/exploratory classes we offer (ex: art, health, P.E., etc.). The only optional classes are choir and band. Please check which of those elective courses you'd like your child to take. We encourage all students to try one or both as music is a great activity for students and many Waukee students try it out in middle school. Students would have 10 school days to drop it if they enroll and do not like it.

AT THE CURRENT TIME... We have TWO OPTIONS for personalized tours for NEW to Waukee Families! We will be opening the building for 6th graders and New to Waukee families (6th OR 7th graders) on Tuesday, August 17 from 4:00-6:00pm. On August 17, you only need to bring your schedule & locker combination (found on Power School) - do NOT bring supplies. Our formal Open House is Thursday, August 19th from 5:00-7:00pm. This is a night where families can bring their supplies, walk their schedule, meet their teachers and try out their lockers. If you would like this 1:1 tour with a current student and access to our building, let us know. We can also have a Student Ambassador waiting for you during either event!
