As part of the Carrington Street Townscape Heritage regeneration I have been tasked with creating a street poem to explore the history of the area of Carrington Street, Station Street, and Arkwright Street; it’s buildings, people and notable events that happened therein. These poems will be made into audio recordings, along with images from the area, and attached to various buildings along the street via a QR code, so people can listen and discover the history of the street. I’d love to hear the memories and stories from people who lived the experience of the street to help bring the poem to life so, if you feel you know it well and have a few minutes spare, I’d be very grateful if you could answer these few questions below.
