Dear Participant,

You have been invited to participate in a scale validation research to measure the level of jealousy-evoking behaviours from a romantic partner via technology and social media platform. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the investigator, Looi Kah Mun (c1301589@helplive.edu.my) or the supervisor, Dr Eugene Tee (teeyj@help.edu.my), the people mainly responsible for this study. Responses to these questionnaires will only be revealed to supervisors and researchers in this research.
To participate in this research, you must be:
1.Malaysians age between 18 years old to 45 years old
2.Currently in a committed, romantic relationship (Dating, engaged or married)
3.Users of social media platforms and technological devices

Description of the study:
To validate a scale that measures the level of jealousy-evocation behaviours from a romantic partner via technology and social media platform.

What will be done:
If you decide to take part in this study, you will be required to fill in four questionnaires in this order: a demographic form, the Online and Technological use for Evocation of Jealousy scale, the Evocation of Jealousy scale and the Dispositional Envy scale. The completion of this questionnaire will not take more than 30 minutes.

Risks or discomfort:
No risk or discomfort is anticipated in the study except minimal fatigue. However, if you do feel any discomfort, you can choose to terminate your participation at any time of the research study without any adverse effects. No compensation or benefits will be awarded upon the completion of this study, but your participation will greatly contribute to the existing knowledge of the area of study.

Confidentiality:
All information gathered from the study will remain confidential. No individual identities will be used in any reports resulting from this study. Please DO NOT reveal your identity on any of the research materials. Only group data will be used for the current study and no personal results will be released. The data will be seen only by the researcher and research supervisor, and will be kept secured for the duration of the study.

Decision to quit at any time:
The decision for you to participate in the study is voluntary. If you decide to withdraw your participation from this study, you are allowed to do so at any time. No penalties will be imposed upon your withdrawal from this study.
