Hosted by the Institute for Urban Ministry in collaboration with the Centre for Faith and Community at UP; Tshwane Leadership Foundation (TLF); Resonate; and Servant Partners.

The coronavirus pandemic negatively impacted multitudes of individuals, families and communities around the world as trusted ways of being were turned upside down and unjust systems were exposed. Cities became locations of crisis with the most vulnerable bearing the brunt of the loss. Even as humanity rushes to get ‘back to normal’, the pandemic has opened an opportunity for all of us to reconsider our commitments to one another and to our contexts. Through these times of disruption, everyday people stepped up to love their neighbors and cities in innovative ways. Everyday changemakers created pathways of subversion, creativity, and sustainability through unsettling times, opening up pockets of transformation in our cities.
