Curtain’s up at Sacred Heart!
We are so excited to bring some drama to school this year and give the kids an opportunity to learn about theater from the first audition to the final performance and everything in between. Our dream is to grow the program through the years with fundraising and more professional elements (lights, sets, costumes) but we are very happy to have the opportunity to start with the basics and build from there…all while singing, dancing & having FUN. There will be an original showcase at the end of the year where every child participating will be featured. Classes will focus on theater games, learning music and staging a show with both scene work and musical numbers.
Explore all aspects of theater; improv, scene study, vocal performance, monologues and choreography
- $400 for the year
- First Class on 9/23
- Grades 2-3 & 4-8 (two separate groups)
- Club Showcase Performance on Saturday May 18th
Members of the Drama Club in grades 4-8 will be eligible to audition for the Drama Troupe in the late Fall. The Drama Troupe will be performing our Mainstage Production of Into The Woods Jr.
- Drama Club members in grades 4-8 by audition only (date TBD)
- Three Performances on 4/27 & 4/28
- Rehearsals held on Saturdays from 11am-12:30PM- (actors cast will only be called for rehearsals for scenes they are part of)
- Rehearsal schedule of mandatory rehearsal dates will go out prior to auditions
