After careful consideration with our partners regarding the health and safety of the attendees, the artists and the crew - we have decided to postpone Khanga Festival 2020 until later this year.
The decision to hit pause for now was not easy because of all the time, energy, and passion that has gone into creating a unifying East African gathering between the land and the ocean. However, the government has now banned all public events and more importantly, we have and will always have the safety and well-being of our supporters as our main priority.
This is not a cancellation. We are fortunate to have the flexibility to reschedule the festival as the situation is monitored and we now eagerly await the day when we can reconnect with fans and revellers back Beneath the Baobabs in a bigger, better, bolder way - once the pandemic is controlled.
We will contact all applicants when the new dates are in place to see if you will still be available to volunteer with us.
