Public Meeting Initiative Interest
The majority of our township’s residents share our values, but a vocal minority of far-right extremists are trying to dominate and disrupt discourse at official meetings. One important way to resist their efforts is for reasonable and thoughtful people to be present at Board of Commissioner and School Board meetings, informed on the issues, and prepared to speak up for our local institutions and the common good. To mobilize and organize left-leaning and progressive Haverford Township residents to attend and participate in local public meetings, we've created an online space that consolidates information on meetings, policies, and issues, as well as a discussion board and signup calendar, so we can more easily divide the work & make sure we're being seen & heard at every meeting.
