10-session Workshop Series: Self-Compassion & Shame Resilience for 2STGNB Adults (Starting Fall 2022)

- You like the idea of a space with other trans and nonbinary folks where you don't need as much emotional energy to justify your experiences related to gender.
- You feel 'not _____ enough' or 'too much' related to something about yourself/your identity, e.g., internal/external thoughts/messages like, "If I were more/less ________, then I'd be worthy/desirable" etc.
- You can identify at least one role, identity, character trait, relationship, etc. that you'd like to improve your self-compassion and better understand shame.
- You want to learn and practice ways to be more nurturing to yourself through difficult experiences/feelings.
- You focus a lot on reaching expectations and ideals of others, societal norms, pressures, etc.
- When you make a mistake or 'fail' at something, you feel stuck and unable to move forward, often blaming yourself and struggling to sit in the discomfort.
- You have a lot of compassion for others, but struggle to offer that same nurturing to yourself. Others constantly tell you you're "too hard on yourself!"

Self-Compassion & Shame Resilience Workshop Series for TGNB (Two-Spirit, Trans & Nonbinary) Adults
  • Who: 2STGNB/Two-Spirit, Trans, & Nonbinary Adults (in any location) who struggle with feeling 'too much' or 'not enough' in one or more areas/identities of their life. 
  • When: Approx 10 Weekly Mondays from 5-7PM EST | 4-6PM CST  
  • Where: Video via secure Zoom Platform with added virtual community connection
  • Dates: This 10-session weekly 2-hour workshop series will begin late October 2022 and go for 10 weeks (excluding holidays) through approx end of January 2023. Start date depends on when the group is full, as early as 10/17/22 and ending as late as 1/30/22. Group will NOT meet 12/26/22 or 1/2/23 - we will announce other potential canceled dates depending on member availability. Those considering enrolling should plan to attend each session, as the material builds on itself each week. 
  • Cost: Economic justice tiered model, $55-25/week with limited* scholarship spots. Strongly recommend pay in full in advance. Also offering a weekly payment option. Will be charged for the full 10 weeks regardless of attendance. Refunds offered if requested 5+ days in advance of workshop start date.
