Indigenous Community Dinner, Saturday, September 24
6:00 - 9:00 pm @ DOC House 

The Native American and Indigenous Studies Department, the Native American Program, and the Hood Museum of Art are co-hosting a dinner in honor of the opening of Madayin: Eight Decades of Aboriginal Bark Painting from Yirrkala. A delegation of Yolngu artists and elders will be here for the opening ceremony and celebration, and this dinner will be hosted in their honor. 

Wampanoag chef Sherry Pocknett will be preparing a meal featuring regional and Indigenous ingredients.

After dinner, there will be opportunities for cultural exchange, dancing, singing, and games from our community and the Yolngu delegation.
