We're so excited you're interested in becoming a Black Owned Market YEG E-Marketplace Vendor!

Black Owned E-Marketplace will run from November 27 - 30, 2020 as part of Buy Black Weekend.

This application form will close on November 4, 2020 to allow our team adequate time to approve and notify selected vendors, upload vendor profiles and upload product listing(s) to our platform.

Approved vendors will be notified by November 7, 2020. Due to the anticipated high volume of applications we may not be able to notify all applicants of our decision. Please watch for an email in your inbox by November 7, 2020, if you do not receive an email we apologize in advance. Our goal is to have an E-marketplace which runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, please do not be discouraged if you are not selected for our first iteration.

Black-Owned Market (BOM) YEG Vendor Application
Our goal for BOM YEG has always been to become a space & platform that local Black-Owned businesses can look to when they need support while working towards reducing the inequalities gap.

BOM YEG's primary goals include but are not limited to:

-Provide local Black businesses, entrepreneurs & creatives with a platform to sell/share their products, goods and services
-Build a sense of community and solidarity among the larger Black community in Edmonton through the creation of a communal gathering place
-Provide local consumers with the opportunity to access quality goods and services offered by primarily Black-owned initiatives
-Stimulate long-lasting economic development and investment within Black communities and businesses in Edmonton
-Provide the wider Edmonton community the opportunity and structure to invest in small Black owned businesses

Some points to note:
- BOM YEG E-Marketplace is a virtual space for Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurs & creatives in Edmonton to showcase their products and/or services to the greater community.
- BOM YEG E-Marketplace will launch November 27 - 30, 2020 in time for Buy Black Weekend which coincides with our next physical market at Habesha on November 28, 2020
- Please fill out this form by WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4 to register as a potential vendor in BOM YEG E-Marketplace grand opening
- Each vendor may have a maximum of 5 products listed on the BOM YEG E-Marketplace, please do not submit multiple applications, only your first submission will be considered. *Disclaimer: Vendors part of the physical market will be granted one additional product for a total of 6 products should they choose to list on our E-Marketplace.
-Vendors are responsible to guarantee the stock they are placing on the website. Vendors must guarantee they will be able to fulfill orders for all stock listed with a guaranteed delivery date of December 16, 2020 to the customer.
- You are welcome to fill out the form after this date but please note priority will be given to vendors who meet the NOVEMBER 4 deadline

Benefits to becoming an E-marketplace vendor:
- We expect that with this new marketplace, we will be able to reach an even wider audience as access to our market will be accessible from the comfort of people's homes.
-The Black-Owned Market provides exposure to target and potential markets for the BOM Community through our marketing platforms including social media and press marketing.
- The Black-Owned Market also facilitates access to a targeted customer base and potential collaborators and clients
- BOM YEG's audience is diverse, inclusive, and comes from all ages and backgrounds. Based on our inaugural BOM YEG event our audience is predominantly aged 30-45 womxn (60%).
-BOM YEG will provide you with and/enhance your online presence with the ability to fulfill online orders to a new demographic


Filling out this form indicates your interest as a potential vendor in the Black Owned Market E-Marketplace. In this form, you'll be asked to :
- Provide your contact information
- Confirm that you are a Black-owned business
- Confirm that you have the necessary licensing/permits i.e. skincare, candle etc..
- Provide a description of your business and what you will be selling on the BOM YEG E-Marketplace
- Confirm that you understand the logistics of the BOM YEG  E-Marketplace and your role as a vendor
