2021 KAAR Good Neighbor Application
The mission of the Good Neighbor Award is to recognize and encourage leadership and participation in our local communities, especially through community service activities and involvement that improve the livability of a community. Those activities aren’t limited to real estate or housing, but embraces a wide variety of volunteerism and charity work that betters a community and the welfare of its residents.

Applicants will be judged on the level of personal involvement within a local community/charity/organization – time, money, materials, and other resources contributed by the Applicant will be considered.

Applicant Eligibility:
1. Applicants must be active REALTOR® or Affiliate members of KAAR in good standing.
2. Individuals and pairs of Applicants (couples, co-founders) may apply, so long as both are active KAAR REALTOR® members and their community involvement is so interconnected that it cannot be separated.
3. Community Involvement noted in the Application should have taken place within the last 12 months and within KAAR’s 12-county region. Ongoing/active community involvement is preferred.
4. Named Charity may be nationwide or local, but must serve communities within KAAR’s 12-county region.
5. Prior Good Neighbor Award Winners are not eligible.

Application Requirements & Questions:
1. Deadline for submission is December 17, 2021.
2. No application fee is required.
3. Applications may be submitted by the Applicant him/herself, or by a fellow REALTOR® member of KAAR on the Applicant’s behalf.
4. Completed Applications should be submitted via www.kaarmls.com or mailed/emailed/dropped off to:

Winner Recognition:
The Good Neighbor Award winner will be recognized at an awards meeting on January 19, 2021 (location to be determined). All advertising shall contain the full name "Knoxville Area Association of REALTORS® [Year] Good Neighbor Award Winner." Awards shall be for the calendar year.
