Floyd Bennett Field Community Outreach
The Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy (JBRPC) is working with the National Park Service (NPS) at Gateway National Recreation Area to rehabilitate and adaptively reuse two historic structures at Floyd Bennett Field: Building 26 and Hangars 3 & 4. Before commencing this work, we would like to understand uses desired by local communities in order to guide program and partner development for the buildings and adjacent park areas.

Activating Floyd Bennett Field as a hub for education, recreation, workforce development, sustainability, and innovation presents unparalleled opportunities for adjacent communities. Ensuring that residents and other local stakeholders are engaged in the development of new opportunities at Floyd Bennett Field is vital to their long-term success. In that context, we appreciate your participation in this community outreach campaign. Please reach out to us at info@jbprc.org with any questions or concerns.
