Italian Fest Food Vendor - 2022
Italian Fest will be held on August 13, 2022.

The DDA is looking for authentic Italian cuisine for the festival crowd to enjoy.  This is an excellent opportunity to showcase an existing Italian style meal your restaurant may already produce, or to create a signature Italian specialty exclusively for the event.

Food vendors must manage all of their own sales and money.  It is highly recommended that in addition to cash, you accept credit cards (there are simple and inexpensive apps that can be used on a phone or tablet for this.)  Food vendors will retain 100% of their sales.  To cover event costs, such as vendor space under tent, tables, chairs, ice, electricity, etc. the DDA will collect a vendor fee for chosen food vendors.  Vendor fee is $400 for MAIN food vendors (menu items are main food items and/or entrees and may range from $1-$15) and $175 for à la carte food vendors (menu items are "side items," not main food items or entrees, and may range from $1-$8--these food vendors require less electricity and space.)  Event Committee will determine if type of food vendor applied for is appropriate, based on menu items applied for.

Chosen food vendors MUST follow menu items approved by committee with the prices that were submitted on the application.  Deviation or changes of menu items MUST be approved by the DDA Event Committee prior to the event.

Please note, food vendors are not permitted to sell any beverages (water, soda, etc.) at this event.  The DDA sells beverages as part of their fundraising efforts.

Please provide a name and brief description with prices of the menu items you would like to serve at the festival. We only have enough space and electrical capacity to support five food vendors. Our committee will be choosing these vendors based off of authenticity and uniqueness.

Additional requirements:
--  Menus are limited to five items (or plates).
--  Food vendors must manage all sales and money, and will retain 100% of sales
--  Each vendor may identify two "signature menu items" from their menu. Only one "signature menu item" will be selected by the committee. The committee will ensure that this menu item will not be sold by another vendor at this event.
-- It is the responsibility of the food vendor to communicate with the health department
-- All physical equipment required for food items must be provided by the food vendor (the DDA will provide vendor space under main event tent, tables, chairs, ice, and electricity)

EXAMPLE: Vendor A identifies Cheese Ravioli as signature item #1 and an Italian Turkey Sandwich as signature #2. The committee agrees to the Italian Turkey Sandwich for Vendor A. If any other vendor has an Italian Turkey Sandwich on their 5 item menu we will ask that they choose another item because Vendor A has that as their signature item. However, if cheese raviolis are not selected as another vendor's "signature menu item" multi vendors can have this on their menu.

The reason we are using this model is to help create unique menus and help promote your business for this event by creating hype around a local favorite. ***Please keep in mind that exclusivity only applies to the ONE signature menu item selected by the committee, and that multiple vendors may have similar (non-signature) menu items,  due to the nature of this heritage festival.
