Portland Community Center & Redline Performing Arts - “FREEDOM WRITERS: Our Story, Our Way.”
Portland Community Center is hosting "FREEDOM WRITERS: Our Story, Our Way." Presented by Redline Performing Arts, students will join teaching artists Brandi LaShay through a six week course where she will develop YOUR STORY into a live theatre presentation. 

Course begins March 21 and runs every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 - 7:15. No sessions will be held during April 3 - 7 for spring break. This course will culminate in a THEATER FAIR on May 4 at Portland Community Center, including a live performance of the final FREEDOM WRITERS project. This is open to any student age 11 - 17. 

Students will need to have comfortable clothing they are able to move around in. 

This program is made possible through direct support from the Fund for the Arts HeARTS Grant.
