Taking a Lead
This is a programme which combines several modules: Leadership (GE03A), Mentoring/Coaching (GE03B), Giving and Receiving Feedback (GE03C), and Report Writing (GE03D).

These are generic modules and apply across all motorsport disciplines.

The programme will be of particular benefit to those in any discipline at Grade 3 on the Marshals’ Pathway, or wanting to upgrade from Grade 2 to Grade 3.

  • Grade 3 Post Chief/Incident Officer (Race)
  • Grade 3 Post Chief (Off Track)
  • Grade 3 Post Chief (Speed)
  • Grade 3 Sector/Senior Stage (Rally)
  • Grade 3 Senior Marshal (Kart)

There will be an online webinar for each module, which will last for around 90 minutes. If you attend all 4 webinars, you will be invited to an in-person day with a mix of workshops covering the practical application for all the modules. There will be plenty of time for discussion, reflection and networking.

Completion of the 4 webinars and attendance at the in-person day is required for the training to count towards grade maintenance or upgrade requirements. 

Webinars will start in March 2024. We are planning the in-person day for May/June 2024. The location is likely to be Perth, but that may change depending on venue availability. If you have a distance to travel, we are trying to negotiate a preferential rate for overnight accommodation at the venue.
