What are the SSF Kickstart Leagues?
The Kickstart Leagues are Online Crew-Battle Leagues, where you practice and compete together with a team of players!

The goal is to get people together and learning a game all at the same time, so that everyone has people around their level to fight and train with (since the "just grind ranked solo" life isn't for everyone)

Also, if you're new (to Smash/FGC games or just Melee in particular) it's a great place to learn since you'll have teammates to help you out, and other new players around your level!

For this league in particular, the current plan is...
- Teams of 2-3 (depending on the number of people who sign up!)
- 4-5 weeks of Qualifier Matches, using a point-based ranking system
- Single-Elimination Finals (at the end of the Qualifiers), all playing for cash prizes

Slippi is a fan-made modification of the Dolphin emulator which adds Rollback Netcode to Melee - more info can be found at https://blippi.gg  |  If you do have issues, you can still sign up - we'll see if we can help somehow!
The Kickstart League's "Ladder Stage" will run from February 6th until early March. If you will have any scheduling issues in that time, please let us know here so we can work around them!

All Melee Kickstart League matches will happen on Wednesday and/or Friday, between 6:30pm and 10:30pm PST. Are you able to commit to being available at these times? *
If you are not available you can still sign up as an "Alternate" (someone to fill a spot if a player on a team can't make it)!
When are you generally available?
This will mostly be used for Team Pairing stuff, so that players can actually practice together during the week. Remember, all League Matches will happen on Wednesday or Friday, sometime between 6:30pm and 10:30pm!
