INTERN TEACHING ARTIST:  Undergraduate/graduate students currently enrolled as music major in college or university. Accustomed to teaching under direction of supervisor/mentor.                                                                    NOVICE TEACHING ARTIST: Holds degree in music. Limited teaching experience and/or holds a valid state teaching certificate. Zero to five years experience.                                                                                                               TEACHING ARTIST: Holds degree in music. Background as quality music teacher.  Three to Fifteen years experience.          
MASTER TEACHING ARTIST: Holds degree in music. Reputation as a leader in the field. Has mentored other music teachers or holds advanced degrees in the field.  Five or more years experience.
