Some basic information: This is a 1-credit course focused on academic communication in art and design for multilingual and international students entering any RISD graduate program in the 2022/2023 academic year. Classes will meet online July 25-Aug 19. Students will have two weekly live meetings as a group, complete independent and interactive coursework online, and meet individually with the instructor at least once for a total commitment of 10-15 hours per week. This course is accessible for both local and remote students.

The course is open to incoming RISD graduate students in all departments and programs, and is highly recommended for students who want to improve their speaking and writing skills or prepare to study in an English-speaking context for the first time.
