Good Work Award - 50th Annual Conference of the Association for Moral Education INITIAL SURVEY

The Association for Moral Education (AME) provides an international forum for the interdisciplinary study of the moral and ethical dimensions of human development and education. The Association is dedicated to fostering communication and cooperation among scholars and practitioners considering all aspects of moral learning, development and action across the life-span in multiple roles and contexts, including the school, family, workplace, congregation, and the larger society.

Since 2008, the AME has offered an award entitled “Good Work Award”, which recognizes achievement in moral educational practices and brings honor to those who foster links between moral theory and educational practice.

Nature of the award: This is a non-monetary award to be made at the annual conference of the AME.

The award will be given to a single practitioner, a team of practitioners, the project or practice itself, or a sponsoring institution, as the selection committee deems appropriate.

The awardee will receive a plaque or other artifact and recognition in the AME newsletter and on its website and through any other channels of communication available to the organization, including, for example, press releases to the home institution or appropriate media.

The awardee(s) need not hold membership in the AME.
