J.O. Wilson Nomination Form: PTA, LSAT, W6PSPO
On May 10, 2022, the PTA will hold annual elections for the following: PTA Officers, parent representative on the LSAT, and parent representatives for the Ward 6 Public School Parent Organization.

Use this form to nominate yourself or someone else that you believe will best represent the interests of J.O. Wilson and the Cardinal community. Enter one nominee for each position. Leave the section blank if you have no nominee for a position.

Please submit nominations by Friday, May 6, 2022 at 6:00pm. Nominations will also be allowed from the floor during the May 10th meeting.

PTA NOMINATIONS - OFFICER POSITIONS
Per the bylaws, officer positions may be held by voting members of the PTA - parents, guardians, grandparents, and J.O. Wilson staff. Officers are elected for 2 year terms.

2nd Vice President: Duties include serving as aide to the PTA President to ensure the work of the PTA is aligned with approved goals, budget and mission. (2 yr term)
Treasurer: Duties include maintain a full account of the funds of the PTA; making disbursements as authorized by the President, executive board, or the J.O. Wilson ES PTA in accordance with the budget adopted by the J.O. Wilson ES PTA; and managing PTA grant funding. (2 yr term)
Fundraising Director: Duties include identifying and managing fundraising opportunities; building and maintaining partnerships with local businesses and residents in the community; and sits on the Fundraising & Events Committee. (1 yr term)
Assistant Fundraising Director: Duties include helping the Fundraising Director with identifying and managing fundraising opportunities; building and maintaining partnerships with local businesses and residents in the community; and sits on the Fundraising & Events Committee. (2 yr term)
Assistant Secretary: Duties include helping the Secretary with recording the minutes of PTA general body and board meetings; conducting general communication and outreach efforts; supporting the PTA’s use of social media; and assisting with general administrative duties. (2 yr term)
Membership Director: Duties include maintaining the membership list; conducting PTA membership drives; and assisting with outreach to PTA members. (2 yr term)
Assistant Membership Director: Duties include helping Membership Director maintain membership list; conducting PTA membership drives; and assisting with outreach to PTA members. (1 yr term)
LSAT NOMINATIONS: 4 PARENT REPRESENTATIVES
The LSAT is a group of elected and appointed members that exists for every DCPS school. The team consists of parents, teachers, non-instructional school staff, a community member, and in some cases students, for the purposes of making recommendations to the principal on matters that promote high expectations and high achievement for all students. There are 4 parent positions on the J.O. Wilson LSAT.

W6PSPO NOMINATIONS: 2 PARENT REPRESENTATIVES
W6PSPO is a group of parents and principals from local neighborhood schools that work together to strengthen the public schools on Capitol Hill and improve the education received by all children. J.O. Wilson sends 2 parent representatives to participate in W6PSPO.
