Dates: 2/14/24 to 3/6/24 (Asynchronous with synchronous office hours available.)

Public speaking does not have to be the most feared form of communication. We will explore multiple ways to help students of all ages feel more comfortable speaking in front of others by learning how to incorporate simple public speaking games/activities in all grade level classrooms. Learn how to build up student confidence by using creative and confidence boosting activities that will take the fear out of public speaking. The book, Well Spoken: Teaching Speaking to All Students, by Erik Palmer, is a requirement of this course. Twenty free copies of the book are available for pickup at Islip UFSD: 215 Main Street, Islip, NY 11751.
