UNC Black in Biology
The goal for creating a multigenerational group is to provide support, community and networking resources for young Black scientists. Black Biologists  group will be composed of people at all career stages, including undergraduates, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, professors and staff who study and work in the Biology Department. One major focus of this group is to mentor undergraduates, but we anticipate opportunities for personal growth for individuals at any career stage. The goal of this group is to meet on a monthly basis to discuss strategies and tactics that will promote connections and foster belonging amongst Biology trainees. This group is intended to provide a safe space for discussions that address any concerns of Black UNC Biology trainees.
