FREEDOM SCHOOLS EXPRESS (FSX) 21-22 (EDL) Program Registration Form
Welcome to Freedom Schools Express (FSX) After School Leadership Program that features culturally responsive lessons, books, and enriching group projects that empowers scholars to "believe they will  achieve, gain skills to make it real, and anticipate they'll graduate to something great!"

Freedom Schools Express is based on the research-based and highly successful CDF Freedom Schools Summer Model and provides expanded learning opportunities of ACADEMIC SUPPORT; STEM and ARTS ENRICHMENT; and exploring PATHWAYS TO CAREER AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT during the school year. Scholars see themselves represented through our amazing educators. Parents, District Leaders, and Diverse Community Partners are very important resources that also adds so much value to scholars' hearts and minds.

Freedom Schools Express is a free program that is held immediately after school for approximately two hours, two days per week (Mondays - Thursdays. For The Middle School (Grades 6-8) FSX begins Oct. 11, 2021. The Elementary School (Grades K-5) FSX Program begins November1, 2021. Contact your school for more information.

Scholars are offered a snack/light meal. Currently there is no Bus Transportation available until further notice. Each family must arrange their own transportation; however, your Freedom Schools Express Site Leader can assist families with exploring transportation options provided through SPPS and Metro Transit Passes and/or Tokens. A parent/guardian must arrive to school at the end of each FSX session to accompany their student(s) home. Students will not be allowed to leave the building to take Metro Transit without a parent/guardian.

Enrollment notifications will be sent to families by email from their student's school. For more information about having FSX at your school, contact Dr. Darcel Hill, Executive Director at darcel.hill@spps.org and/or 651-387-0869 (cell).
