Plačiau apie seminarą: "Art is always in motion. It is influenced by cultural changes and it
changes culture. It is a representative instrument of a society, but more than
that, it actively shapes it. It is good to remember this, especially in these
difficult times we live in - marked by deep crises and wars - against the other
and against culture as a whole. Dramaturgy can be understood as a "discipline
of bridge-building", between art and society, between idea and
realization, between artist and audience, and so on, and is thus also the
essential lubricating oil of any artistic creation.
In this two-day intensive workshop, we will approach dramaturgy from
the perspective of empathy - that is, the ability to empathize with the
feelings of others. What role does it play in practice? What role do
sensitivity and vulnerability play in dramaturgical thinking and what does this
have to do with choreographing, for example? And can it also cause harm? Does
it, for instance, lead to compromising artistic ideas?
Through a
collaborative, hands-on and playful analysis of choreographic works presented
during the New Baltic Dance Platform, we will practically explore empathy as a
central tool of dramaturgy. We will engage with tools of critical reflection.
And we will test it as a relational practice, giving each other exercises that
can be useful for further creative processes. In this way, the workshop aims to
approach the practice of dramaturgy as an essential way of thinking, rather
than simply understanding it as an auxiliary discipline."
