Walk-afot STATION HOST Sign-Up
Simchat Torah is about celebrating the joy of Torah. We're celebrating on Sunday, October 11 with an outdoor Walk-afot with Stickers 10am-2pm. At Netivot Shalom, it’s also about STICKERS!
This year, instead of “hakafot” in our sanctuary, we’re doing “walk-afot” outdoors! Fun, community, Torah, joy, and stickers for all ages! How will it work?
~ Community members volunteer their homes to be stations for Walk-afot by filling out this form
~ Being a station involves:
Putting piece of poster board or large paper on your front door with a question about one of the Torah portions
Having your home listed on a map of Walk-afot stations for our community
(optional): placing a bowl of individually wrapped candies or prizes outside your door
(optional): being home to wave hello through the window to Walk-afot participants
~ Walk-afot participants walk around the neighborhood placing STICKERS on the posters at various stations
Visit stations on the map (we’ll provide it before Simchat Torah)
Place a sticker on the poster when you’ve answered the Torah question
Place a sticker on your Walk-afot Parasha list. Try to get to all parshiot of the Torah!
Collect candy/prizes and say hello as you visit homes.
~ Think of it like trick-or-treating, in that some walk around and some stay home, but either way, you’re celebrating the Torah, sharing joy with neighbors, and building community.
