1. The parent should read the care and maintenance information provided by Roxbourne Primary School to ensure that the violin and all equipment provided is properly cared for while in the possession of the child.

2. All violins (instrument, bow, case shoulder pad and music) remain the property of Roxbourne Primary School at all times.  You must not sell or dispose of them.

3. The parent must keep the instrument safe and use it in a proper and careful manner. Damage must be reported as soon as it possible and any repairs carried out by Roxbourne Primary School.  You may incur charges if you the instrument is taken elsewhere for repairs unless agreed with the school in advance.

4. The full cost of a replacement instrument and equipment due to loss, theft, or extensive damage will be charged to the parent. The costs of replacement is outlined below. Where necessary, individual items will be charged for as appropriate. 

5. The parent acknowledges that the Strings Programme is a statutory part of the curriculum and agrees to provide suitable time and space for the child to practice daily (or as much as is possible).

6. Instruments may be exchanged through the school year for a different size (as recommended by the violin teacher) as your child grows.

7. The equipment must be returned to Roxbourne Primary school at the end of each academic year.
