As a non-profit community organization, the BSAA requires a membership to regularly swim at our pool. Memberships are available for sale to anyone living within the city limits of Huntsville, AL. Please contact us from the website for membership information. Payments may be made on fees but must be paid in full by March 31.

Terms and Conditions
Non-Member Swim & Dive Team Annual Membership:
Anyone who is not an Active BSAA Member can swim or dive for the Byrd Spring Swim/Dive Team with the purchase of an annual Swim/Dive only membership. Go to https://www.byrdspringpool.com/swim-team for more information and to sign up.

Senior Membership
Applies only to 2 individuals 60+ named on membership application, who reside at the same address.

Individual Membership
Applies only to one individual 18 and older named on membership application.

Inactive Status:
Members may petition to become inactive for a one-year period by submitting a request in writing to the BSAA Board no later than March 1st in order to be assigned an inactive status for one season. Upon approval by the BSAA Board, a $100 inactive Fee is due by March 31. Each year must be handled separately in the same manner as above.

Sale of Membership by current members:
You may sell your pool membership to anyone living within the city limits of Huntsville, AL after notification and approval of the BSAA board. Membership must be in good standing. A transfer fee of $35.00 will be charged to the seller for all such transactions. In addition, the seller must provide the BSAA Board with the Name, Address, & Phone Number of the new member.

Adding of Babysitters or children being babysat by current members
All members who plan on having a babysitter this season, add them to your membership. All members who plan on babysitting any children must contact the board for approval to add anyone to their membership. Children “babysitting” other children will not be a valid option. Only adult members will be considered babysitters.

Guest Policy
Guests are allowed a total of 15 visits during the summer. A list will be kept in the office to keep track of each guests visit. All children 18 & under MUST have a signed waiver to swim at the pool UNLESS they are accompanied by an adult. It is the member’s responsibility to get the waiver signed by an adult. If there is no waiver on file, they WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SWIM UNLESS they are accompanied by an adult. The pool has the right to remove any guest if they aren’t following the rules.
Members are allowed to bring no more than 10 guests at one time. If you want to bring more than 10 guests, please email presidentbsaa@gmail.com to set up a party.

Members agree that Byrd Spring Aquatic Association (BSAA) employees and its Board of Directors have authority and responsibility to enforce any and all rules governing all aspects of operation for the pool and the safety of it’s members and visitors. While on the premises of BSAA property, members agree to abide by, and obey the BSAA By-Laws, posted rules, and any verbal directives issued by an BSAA employee or member of the Board.

INDEPENDENT SWIMMER CONSENT AGREEMENT
This Agreement for Independent Swimmer is optional but if selected the member agrees to be bound by all terms and conditions below.
INDEPENDENT SWIMMER CONSENT *
My children, LISTED BELOW, Ages 9 to 18, have permission to swim at Byrd Spring Pool without being accompanied by an adult. By signing this, I agree that my children will follow all the rules, policies and regulations of BSAA.

Entering of our name in all CAPS and date constitutes our acceptance of the above terms and conditions of this INDEPENDENT SWIMMER AGREEMENT and the children listed above.    In the event of an accident or injury, we agree to hold harmless BSAA and waive any claims or cause of action against BSAA and its Coaches, Teachers, & employees, which may arise by reason of injury to my child because of participation. I also agree that Coaches, Teachers, employees, LifeGuards, and other members of BSAA are released and forever acquitted from any and all claims of liability to me or my child, or both, for injuries sustained by my child because of such participation.

Byrd Spring Aquatic Association (BSAA) is a private, member-owned pool. BSAA is not just a place where we swim for a few months out of the year during the summer.  Our pool is a place where our neighborhood connects and engages as a larger community.  Many kids have grown up together and many families have built memories all around this little pool sitting in the middle of our neighborhood.  Volunteers are what make our BSAA private pool membership successful. The only paid staff are the lifeguards. We want to know your skills and interests so you can get connected with BSAA!
