You need to reside in NSW at the time of the application and must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status to become a carer with Narang Bir-rong.

Foster Carers must reside within a 1.5 hour radius of Penrith (Kinship care is subject to case by case). A home safety check will be completed as part of probity checks, you do not need to own your home.
