1. ELIGIBILITY:Contest is open to all U.S. residents 18 years or older.
2. TO ENTER:
CAREFULLY READ THESE OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND ENTRY FORM FOR THE POKY SMOKY X GALLY'S HOT WING CHALLENGE INCLUDING THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY PROVISIONS. Complete this document and sign your electronic signature below. A hard copy of this with your written signature must be signed the day of the event prior to participation. All entry forms and photos from the challenge become property of Poky Smoky & Gally's Brewing Co.
3. CONTEST RULES:
There will be one competition for all contestants, taking place on March 30th, 2024. The challenge consists of 10 wings, each wing covered in a different sauce of increasing heat on the Scoville Scale. NO DIPPING SAUCE, NO GLOVES, NO LIP BALM, NO BATHROOM BREAKS, AND NO WHINING. Wings will be brought out one wing at at time, with a break of about 5 minutes in between each wing/sauce. Wings must be completely eating to move on to the next wing/sauce. Winners will be decided by the Poky Smoky crew. Contestants must have a nice clean appearance and be completely SOBER for the event. The object is to eat all 10 wings. If all 10 wings are eaten by multiple contestants and there is a need for a tie breaker, a determining factor could be if the contestant did or did not drink during the challenge. If an additional tie breaker is necessary, this will be determined by the Poky Smoky crew. Contestants may eat either sitting or standing in their pre-designated area using their hands only. A contestant is allowed one bathroom break prior to the challenge and may use the restroom after the challenge is deemed over by a judge. A contestant must completely eat one chicken wing before proceeding to the next chicken wing. A contestant must wait for the signal to begin eating and may not touch any chicken wings prior to the starting signal. If a contestant regurgitates, he or she will be disqualified. Judges will be on hand to assure adherence to the contest rules and to disqualify a contestant who fails to adhere to the rules.
Grounds for disqualification include:
- False or incomplete entry form or liability waiver
- Any health risks that could jeopardize the contestant's health or well being
- Under the influence of any substance
- Appearance is deemed inappropriate
- Starting prior to the start signal
- Failure to completely eat a chicken wing before beginning to eat another chicken wing
- Regurgitating
Note: Poky Smoky BBQ and Gally's Brewing Company reserve the right to disqualify any contestant for any reason without explanation.
Winner(s) will be determined by:
- Finishing all 10 chicken wings
- Finishing the extra tie breaker if multiple contestants finish all 10 wings
- Tie breaker will be determined by the Poky Smoky crew
4. PRIZE AWARDS:
Prizes will be awarded as follows:
Contestant who finish all 10 wings will receive 1 FREE drink of their choice (limit $7.00 value - not redeemable for cash), their picture posted on the Gally's Brewing Co. Facebook page, and most of all, BRAGGING RIGHTS.
The contestant who finishes in first place will receive $100 cash.
All participants agree to the use of their name, voice, likeness, and city/town for advertising purposes and to cooperate reasonably in any effort to promote or publicize the Poky Smoky x Gally's Hot Wing Eating Challenge. Apart from the prizes associated with being selected as a winner, neither Poky Smoky BBQ or Gally's Brewing Company shall be obligated to compensate you in any way for such publicity.
5. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISKS AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY:
Contestant acknowledges that the wing sauce is made with pepper extract, some of the hottest peppers on earth including, but not limited to, Habanero, Ghost Pepper, Carolina Reaper, and other secret seasonings and spices with an extreme degree of heat. Contestant acknowledges that there are risks of personal injury, illness, and possible loss of life, and risks of damage or loss of personal property, which may result from participating in this contest. Contestant voluntarily enters the Poky Smoky x Gally's Hot Wing Eating Challenge and assumes all of these risks. Contestant, as a conditional of entry, agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Poky Smoky BBQ, Gally's Brewing Company, and any affiliated companies, their vendors, their advertising, promotion, and public relations agencies, co-sponsoring companies and their affiliates and agencies, and all officers, directors, managers, owners, employees, and agents of aforesaid entities, from any and all claims and costs, including attorneys' fees, relating to, arising from or in connection with participation in this contest or the receipt or use of any prize. In so doing, contestant releases and indemnifies the aforesaid entities and individuals from liability for injuries or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in this contest or the receipt or use of any prize. In no event shall Poky Smoky BBQ or Gally's Brewing Company be liable to a contestant for acts or omissions arising out of or related to the challenge or contest or that contestant's participation in the challenge or contest.
6. FINAL AUTHORITY:
Poky Smoky BBQ has sole and complete discretion regarding all contest related matters. All decisions regarding disqualification of a contestant(s) or winner(s) shall be subject to the sole and complete discretion of Poky Smoky BBQ. You can be disqualified for any reason at any time.
I AGREE TO NOT CONTEST THE OUTCOME AND ANY PART OR ASPECT OF THIS CONTEST.
7. CERTIFICATION AND SIGNATURE:
I certify that the information provided is correct and that I have carefully read, understand, and accept the terms of the Poky Smoky x Gally's Brewing Company Hot Wing Challenge Official Contest Rules and Entry Form. My signature indicates my understanding and assumption of the risks and my voluntary participation in this contest.
