The Ben Inouye Diversity Scholarship Externship Application
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The San Diego Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy is pleased to offer scholarship opportunities! Awards are made in memory of Ben Inouye who was an active member of the local EFT community and a doctoral student in MFT at Alliant.
 
One scholarship provides 100% tuition for the foundational EFT training, the EFT Externship in San Diego, and is available on an annual basis through contributions from ICEEFT and San Diego Center for EFT (SDEFT).  

Multiple scholarships of a $355 US are available through contributions from San Diego Center for EFT to reduce the externship fee from $1095 to $695.

ELIGIBILITY
Scholarships are awarded to students who are actively enrolled in a graduate mental health program. Preference will be given to applicants who plan to develop expertise and become certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy, who have experience with and interest in serving underrepresented populations, who have clinical experience with couples and families, who have an interest in being an active member of their local EFT Center or Community, and who have demonstrated financial need. Scholarship recipients have a commitment to adopting EFT as their primary model of therapy and who are motivated to complete the EFT Core Skills series and pursue certification in the model.

This application form is due November 30, 2022. Applications will be reviewed and awardees will be notified by or before December 14, 2022.
