These individuals have a significant influence on the quality of each player’s experience. At Felton Little League, we are committed to selecting umpires, managers, and coaches who exemplify the values and principles of Little League Baseball.
To support their efforts, the League provides opportunities for growth through rules clinics, coaching clinics, safety training, and other activities aimed at enhancing their teaching, leadership, and knowledge.
There are no guaranteed positions for umpires, managers, or coaches in Little League Baseball. All individuals must reapply each season. Candidates are evaluated based on their leadership skills, teaching abilities, commitment, enthusiasm, organizational skills, sportsmanship, prior experience, and their capacity to serve as positive role models for their teams.
The Board of Directors will review and evaluate all candidates, making recommendations for approved individuals to the President, who will confirm their selection and assign them to teams.
Coaching Contract
If appointed to a coaching position within Felton Little League, candidates are expected to uphold the values and standards of the organization, demonstrate strong leadership, and foster a positive, supportive environment for players both on and off the field.
I will:
* prohibit parents and other individuals from assuming a coaching role during Little League events without prior approval from the League.
*
understand that Felton Little League is dedicated to providing a safe, healthy, and positive environment for children while helping them develop their baseball and softball skills.
*
not add or move players without the approval of the Player Agent or President. If a player misses two or more practices or games, I will promptly inform the League President via email, phone call, or text.
I understand that failure to uphold any of these commitments may result in my dismissal from my volunteer position.
