The workshop will comprise of several lectures covering different application of cryo techniques for biological specimen and soft matter, usage of SEM in the field of medical research, nanotechnology, geochemistry, mineralogy, thermofluid study, environmental engineering and water purification. Lectures from application specialists from Leica, Thermofisher, Tescan, Zeiss, Ametek and Hitachi will highlight the latest technological developments in cryo SEM, cryo-FIB, Serial Block Face SEM.
DEMONSTRATION: ILSB, Rms. 1132 and 1134
Sample preparation, imaging using the different SEMs at MIC. A short session for computational image analysis of datasets from cryo-FIB/Serial Block Face SEM will be conducted. THE DEMONSTRATION IS FREE, BUT THE NUMBER OF SEATS IS LIMITED AND REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
