Every year we lost a representative number of people in road while walking. This turns walkability more vulnerable and unsafe. To present on the topic "Creating Walkable Communities", an imminent speaker from New Zealand from Abley Consultant, technical director and a transportation engineer by profession,  Jeanette Ward would present her views and her experiences on 18th of November, 2021, at 12:00 PM Nepal Standard Time (NST).
Jeanette is a Transport Engineer with a specific focus on active modes and streetscape design. Her passion is creating great places for people. She has had the opportunity to influence this through developing pedestrian planning and design guidance for Austroads and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency. Jeanette will present the fundamentals of planning and designing for pedestrians with examples and practical application.
