The Velocity Fund Information Session
Please join us us in the Arts Lounge at the Annenberg Center on Friday, April 29 at 12:00 PM to learn more about an exciting opportunity for local artists.

Are you a faculty/staff member, senior, second year MFA, or other student about to graduate from Penn who lives in Philadelphia? If so you are eligible to apply.

The Velocity Fund directly supports Philadelphia-based artists by awarding grants up to $5,000. Open to a wide range of experimental practices, particularly those that emphasize collaboration between artistic genres. That includes but is not limited to an expansive range of visual arts including photography, performance, video, cosmetology, fashion, ceramics, sand art, drawing, bookmaking, tattoo and body art, weaving, publications and bookmaking, culinary arts, crafts, installations, painting, mail art, printmaking, curatorial concepts, basketry, sculpture, calligraphy, social-engagement, woodworking, comics, murals, participatory events, glass, animation, neon, design, and more.

Covid  Protocols:
All guests will need to complete a Penn Open Campus Screening prior to or upon arrival. A green Penn Open Campus* pass, proof of vaccination**, a valid photo ID*** and a mask are required for entry. Face masks covering the nose and mouth must be worn at all times for all those over age two.

*For Penn staff, faculty and students, simply show that day’s PennOpen Green Pass and your valid Penn ID.
**Proof of vaccination can include a physical card, photo of a physical card, or Bindle app. Those under age 12 must show proof of vaccination or negative results from a COVID-19 PCR test (saliva or nasal swab) taken within 72 hours of the event.
***School IDs are accepted; photo IDs are not required for children under 12.
