Thank you for your interest in Open Omaha. The event will take place Saturday, August 3rd and Sunday, August 4th, 2024. Please sign up to volunteer by July 28, 2024. Omaha by Design will notify you with your assigned venue in July.

Open Omaha volunteers serve as greeters for the venue that they are assigned. Wearing the provided Open Omaha t-shirt, volunteers help venue staff greet event attendees and keep track of attendance.

Volunteer Waiver *
This Volunteer Waiver (“Waiver”) contains an assumption of risk, release of liability, waiver of legal rights, indemnity and covenant not to sue.  Please read carefully before signing.  I agree that:
  1. I understand and acknowledge that I am strictly a volunteer, not an employee or agent of Omaha by Design (“ObD”), and that I volunteer my services freely and without pressure or coercion, direct or implied, from ObD, and that there has been no promise of, nor do I have an expectation of, receiving compensation for any volunteer labor I provide. 
  2. I grant ObD permission to use my likeness, voice, and words in television, radio, film, or any other form to promote activities of ObD as it pertains to the Event. 
  3. In consideration for allowing me to volunteer for the Event, and all other benefits arising therefrom, I hereby release and forever discharge ObD, its officers, directors, agents, other volunteers, employees, and other entities providing services in conjunction with the Event from any and all claims, actions, liabilities, and causes of action, I (or my heirs, successors, executors, administrators, agents or assigns) may now have or which may accrue in the future as a result of or in connection with my volunteering for the Event. 
  4. I assume all risks surrounding and associated with my participation in activities associated with the Event, including injury, death, or illness to me and/or damage to or loss of property.   
  5. I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ObD, its officers, directors, agents, volunteers, employees, and all other persons and entities associated in any way therewith for any liability, demand, judgment, claim or suit, including reasonable costs and attorney fees, arising out of or in connection with my acts or omissions, or allegations thereof, as a volunteer for the Event. 
  6. If I am unable to do so on my own because of injury or illness, I consent to administration of first aid and/or medical treatment. 
  7. I am not restricted or limited by law, regulation or otherwise, from having contact with people of any age. 
  8. ObD maintains the right to terminate this relationship at any time in its own discretion. 
  9. While volunteering for the 2024 Open Omaha event (the “Event”), I may be dealing with confidential information, and I agree to not disclose such information to any third party. 
Nebraska law governs this waiver. 

I acknowledge that I received and reviewed this Waiver in advance of the Event.  I affirm that I understand it and agree to sign it willingly and accept its terms and conditions.
