Menstrual poverty, or period poverty, is defined as a lack of access to menstrual products, education, hygiene facilities, or waste management.

Period products/menstrual products include items or goods used during a person’s menstrual cycle. This includes tampons, sanitary pads, menstrual cups, etc.
