Our Safe Space Policy is on our website:  https://wikimedia.org.au/wiki/Safe_Space_Policy

It is very important to Wikimedia Australia (WMAU) that all of our events, activities, platforms and channels are accessible, safe and welcoming for everyone. WMAU is dedicated to providing a welcoming experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, appearance, race, religion, or preferred free license (and not limited to those aspects). We do not tolerate harassment of event participants. At the discretion of the event organizers anyone violating these rules may be asked to leave the event.

In cases of possible criminal offences, where the matter has not already been reported, WMAU may report the matter to the police or judicial authorities, or support victims in making their own report.

What happens next?
After receiving your Incident Report, WMAU will investigate, giving all parties involved the opportunity to give their views. WMAU aims to complete the investigation and the report on the investigation within one month of receiving the report. This depends on the nature and seriousness of the incident.

Based on the investigation, WMAU will decide whether measures are necessary. The aim of measures is to empower as many people as possible to actively participate in Wikimedia projects and platforms, to reach our vision of a world in which everyone can share in the sum of all human knowledge.

WMAU exercises maximum restraint in sharing information about reports, especially about the identity of persons involved. Wherever possible, WMAU complies with privacy wishes of those involved.
