Funding the Commons - Builder Residency 2023: Builder Application

Join the first-ever Funding the Commons Builder Residency—a transformative, month-long, immersive experience taking place in Berlin from 1-30 September 2023.

We will be accepting applicants on a rolling basis until August 15th, with priority given to early submissions.

Application Process:

  • Final rounds of confirmations sent to builder applicants accepted into the residency - July 15th and August 1st.

  • If you're accepted, we'll send you more details on next steps, including travel and accommodation guidance, if applicable.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Participants should be physically located in Berlin from September 1st to September 30th, 2023, or at least a period in that time. As mentioned above, you are fully responsible for obtaining a Visa + the necessary insurance (we will send you a comprehensive FAQ if you are accepted)

  • We will provide co-living & co-working space for all residents in Berlin, as well as a stocked kitchen with groceries and food.

  • Able to work full time on your project during the residency period.

  • Participate actively in residency programming, workshops, and events throughout the duration of the program.

  • Recommended: Have a clear project goal to work towards, which can be shared with the group by the end of the residency. If you don't have a clear goal yet, that’s ok, we're more than happy to brainstorm with you, or match you with an existing project upon arrival!
