Please be sure to fill out this form in its entirety.
The Counselor in Training (CIT) Program is open to KBIA campers 13 to 14 years of age, or campers 13 by the end of the summer who have completed 7th grade.
In addition to completing this form, you must also register for CIT classes (organized by week) through the class registration process on the KBIA website. Registration opens to all on March 2, 2024at 10:00 AM Eastern time.
- CITs must enroll in at least two consecutive weeks, but we encourage CITs to take as many weeks as possible. CIT service hours are assigned based upon the needs of KBIA, and CITs should expect 12 or more service hours per week.
- KBIA will make every attempt to coordinate individual CIT’s service hours so they do not conflict with the CIT’s enrichment classes.
- There are several new "pathways" for CiTs in 2024, which can result in endorsement for CiT-ing sailing classes, powerboat classes, tennis, pool, and paddle classes. (See below)
- All CIT Sail students are highly encouraged to cross register for either Opti Race or Race Team (depending on experience). All inquiries for can be directed to registration@kbia.net
- Remember: this is an INTEREST form, there's no application to the program. If your adult registers you to be a CiT - you're IN!
