The following is a checklist of Expectations of Chapter Officers/Code of Conduct in order for you to become an officer and continue to hold your officer position. By checking the box beside each requirement, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree. *

KHHS FFA officers must be enrolled in an agriculture class at some point during the school year.

You need FFA Official Dress for special events such as conventions, banquets, some contests, and community events. As an FFA Officer, you will need to purchase FFA Official Dress which includes FFA scarf/tie, white long-sleeve button down, black slacks (male) or fitted black skirt (female), black dress shoes, & an FFA Jacket.

This is YOUR organization NOT the Ag Teachers. Your number one priority and focus as a chapter officer is to serve the needs of the members of your chapter.

The success of Chapter Officers is evaluated by team performance, not necessarily on individual performance. Learn how to help each other to become better leaders.

FFA Officer Meetings are held at least once a month, scheduled for the first Thursday of every month. It will also be necessary to have FFA Officer Meetings at other times throughout the year as needed. Your attendance is required.

It will be your responsibility as an FFA Officer to prepare for, attend, and clean up after every monthly FFA Meeting (second Thursday of month).

Officer Absences: You will only be allowed 1 excused Officer Meeting and 1 excused FFA Meeting for the school year. All other absences will be considered unexcused and count as a strike against your behavior contract (excluding illness/family emergency). If you plan to miss an event, you need to let your advisors know one week prior to the event.

There are many CDEs (or competitions) offered through FFA, and each officer will be required to participate in at least one CDE. A list of all the CDEs will be provided at the first FFA Officer meeting.

It is expected that each Chapter Officer be a positive role model for the members of the chapter. (Suspensions, probations, and repetitious disciplinary action is unacceptable.)

Have and maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher.

Have and maintain a clean discipline and attendance record.

Keep all activities and dates current on personal calendar.

Keep all social media and technology clean and age appropriate.

Refrain from inappropriate age activities and social gatherings that could question legal matters.

Wear appropriate clothing to all events when not in official dress.

Memorize his/her officer part for opening and closing ceremonies before September 30th.
