Thank you for your interest in our program to participate as a Fulbright US Grantee (Mentee). The answers you provide to the following questions are used to ensure a well-suited Mentee-Mentor match for you. Depending on mentor availability, local proximity is the top matching criteria. In addition, we match according to your home state in the US and the American university you visit(ed). If feasible, we further consider interests, hobbies & professional/ academic background. The deadline for registration is Sunday, 10-02-2022.

Please notice that some of the below questions ask about your phone number and presence on social media (LinkedIn, Facebook). While these questions are optional, we encourage you to provide the information. It is not processed for matching and is not forwarded. It is collected and saved for emergency situations only, in which you can not be reached after arriving in Germany. We encountered several cases, where home university e-mail addresses got deactivated during the stay abroad .

Mentoring Program for US Grantees is a program organized by Fulbright Alumni e.V. (FAeV). Your data will be collected and stored by FAeV for the purpose of Mentee-Mentor matching, for organizing the kick-off event and any other events, and for occasional contact within the program. The personal data that you provide (name, contact information, preference regarding the Mentoring Program) will be deleted by August 29, 2023. According to DSGVO, you may also request the deletion of your entered personal data at any time and the FAeV will do so. Please contact mentoring@fulbright-alumni.de to request deletion. Your name and contact information will be shared with your matched Mentor. Otherwise, your information will not be shared with any third parties.
