In conjunction with UAB and Alabama Department of Public Health, North Alabama AHEC has been provided an opportunity to organize FREE COVID-19 testing in rural and underserved "hotspot" regions. Test sites are drive-thru and generally, participants self-administer the test using a nasal swab.

Please let us know if you are interested in helping out by completing the form. Read each description.

REGISTRATION: Greeting participants; collecting information; distributing educational material; organizing paperwork

TEST DISTRIBUTION/SUPPORT: Giving test to participants; collecting and storing specimens. (THE TEST IS GENERALLY SELF-ADMINISTERED. THE TESTER SIMPLY HANDS SWAB TO PARTICIPANTS AND HAS THEM PLACE IT INSIDE A TUBE)

TRANSLATOR: Some of our sites specifically target the Hispanic community and translators are needed.

TRAFFIC FLOW/CONTROL: Greeting participants; directing traffic; giving initial instructions

SITE SET UP/BREAK DOWN: Assist with setting up tents (if applicable); set up tables/chairs etc.
