Göteborg SIPGI Projekt Volontär vid  Vetenskapsfestivalen

Vi söker volontärer till ett virtuellt verklighetsexperiment!

Forskningsprogrammet Samhällsinstitutioner, politik och integration av flyktingar (SIPGI) vid Göteborgs universitet söker volontär för att hjälpa till med att genomföra ett virtuellt verklighetsexperiment på Vetenskapsfestivalen. 

Om Experimentet: Fältexperimentet syftar till att förstå hur synen på världen genom en flyktings ögon kan påverka empati, attityder och beteenden gentemot syrier som varit eller är flyktingar. Experimentet kommer också att replikeras senare i år i Jordanien och Turkiet.

Var: Nordstan, Göteborg.

När:  Varje dag under perioden 17-21 april, 2024.

Vad du får som volontär: Som volontär kommer du att få utbildning i och erfarenhet av att genomföra ett samhällsvetenskapligt fältexperiment; ditt namn kommer nämnas i framtida publikationer inom projektet; du får ett certifikat för din medverkan; lunch och fika vid varje pass som du anmäler dig till. Framför allt kommer din insats att bidra till forskningsresultat som kan förbättra livet för flyktingar och migranter i Sverige.

I detta dokumentet ser du alla tillgängliga tidspass. Varje dag består av två olika 5-timmarspass eller 4-timmarspass, 10.00-15.00 och 15.00-20.00 eller 10.00-14.00 och 14.00-18.00. Du kan anmäla dig som volontär till mer än ett pass. Se till att du kan närvara under hela passet (inklusive 15 minuter innan ditt pass börjar). Det kommer att finnas lunch och fika vid varje pass som du anmäler dig till.

Before you sign up, we want to inform you that you will be asked to recruit strangers at Vetenskapsfestivalen in Nordstan for the virtual reality experience. We will provide you with training on this and a text you can read to recruit potential participants. But, if you feel you are too shy to engage with strangers you should not sign up for this event. We will try to assign you in pairs so it is a bit easier, but we cannot guarantee you will have a recruitment partner. Before you sign up, we want to inform you that you will be working with VR headset and noise cancelling headphones that you might need to try yourself during the training and when working in the field. You will need to participate in a training for this project that will take two to three hours. Can you attend a training sometime on mid-April ? We can determine an appropriate time once we have our facilitator volunteers confirmed. The training will be held in English as that is the language of the lead researcher on this project. *
