Our platform has been meticulously crafted to foster connection, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration among recreational therapists from all walks of life.
Imagine a virtual space where professionals like you can gather, exchange ideas, share valuable insights, and explore the latest resources in the field of recreational therapy. Our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) offer an exclusive opportunity for you to engage with like-minded individuals who are equally dedicated to making a positive impact on the well-being of those they serve.
Our SIGs are designed to bring recreational therapists together around an issue, topic, population, setting, or intervention where they can discuss, share resources, and experience empowerment. All of our SIGs are designed to be organically developed from our members. As a result, if you have an idea for a SIG, you can create it! This form will be used to gain some information from you regarding the specifics of the SIG you'd like to create and offer some general guidance into the development of your SIG.
Once you complete the form, someone from the ATRA office will reach out to discuss the logistics of creating your SIG through our online learning platform and clarify any questions.
To create a SIG, there will need to be at least 1 facilitator and 5 individuals who are willing to participate. SIGs will only be open and available to ATRA members (member login will be required to access the online community).
