As part of our commitment reduce the congestion around the school, we have contacted Stagecoach to request an extension to the bus route. They have kindly agreed to this. The extension to the route will include the bus stop on Woodpark Road, (next to the Dental Surgery).
It is proposed that the bus to Portree Primary will leave the High School at 8.45am each day, it will travel along Dunvegan Road and stop at the bus stop at Urquhart Place. Pupils may board the bus at both the High School and Urquhart Place if they wish. The bus will then travel past the Co-op and up to the bus stop near the Dental Surgery where it will stop to collect pupils. The bus will then travel via Shepherds Road and Home Farm Road to Portree Primary.
At the end of the school day the bus will follow a route from PPS through The Square and Dunvegan Road, stopping off at Urquhart Place and the stop at the Dental Surgery, before making it's way back to the High School to meet the High School connections.
To ensure the bus company provide sufficient capacity on the bus to accommodate all the pupils who wish to use it, we have been asked to gauge interest from parents. If you would be interested in using this service, can you please complete the short survey below.
