Would you like to be considered for the WAP Studio Apprentice Program's emerging artist registry? This registry will function as a resource for WAP fellows to consult when selecting their studio assistants. WAP artists choose their assistants between August and October of each year.

The MOCA GA Working Artist Project (WAP) is an awards program to support established visual artists of merit who reside in the metropolitan Atlanta area. As part of the year long grant period, WAP artists will mentor emerging artists in the Metropolitan Atlanta community. If you are an interested emerging artist and meet the criteria below, please consider applying for the Registry by filling out the questions on this form.

Requirements for WAP Studio Apprentices:
A.  Apprentice applicants must be emerging artists in the Atlanta Metro area and meet one of the following criteria:
        1. Be currently enrolled in higher education,
        2.  Recently graduated from higher education, or
        3. have been recently shown either in solo or in group exhibitions
B.  Must continue to reside in the Atlanta metropolitan area for the project grant period
C.  Must be available on a part time basis to apprentice with WAP artist for a period of at least 6 months (specific hours to be determined by WAP artist, no more than 200 hours total) over the course of the WAP grant period.

MOCA GA will provide the following:
A.  An hourly stipend
B.  The opportunity to interface with collectors, other artists, and the general public through programming and studio visits;

Selected studio apprentices will agree to:
A. Provide his or her own transportation
B. Provide studio assistance for artist who has received the WAP grant
C. Attend public programming related to the grant, grant exhibition or events that require the WAP artists to attend
D.  Take part in a group exhibition of WAP Studio Apprentices at MOCA GA
