Thank you for your interest in volunteering for CSMA's onsite Summer Art Camp programs for 2023!
Camp volunteers are essential to a fun, creative camp experience and we look forward to having you join us. Volunteers assist our camp programs by providing classroom support for art camps, from preparing materials and explaining lessons to working with individual students and supervising campers during breaks.
Volunteer Shifts:
- Session 1: June 12 - 16
- Session 2: June 20 - 23 (4 days, no camp on June 19th)
- Session 3: June 26 - 30
- Session 4: July 3 - 7 (4 days, no camp on July 4th)
- Session 5: July 10 - 14
- Session 6: July 17 - 21
- Session 7: July 24 - 28
- Session 8: July 31 - August 4
Shift Options:
- 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (6.5 hours, 0.5 hour break)
- 10:30 AM - 5:30 PM (6.5 hours, 0.5 hour break)
Please note:- Volunteers must be at least 14 years old.
- All camp shifts are Monday - Friday. Volunteers must be available every day of the session.
- Volunteers must be available for at least one full session throughout the summer.
- Volunteers must be able to attend the mandatory Camp Aide Meeting for essential program training:
- Mandatory Camp Aide Meeting: Saturday, June 10, 2:00 - 4:00 PM
- Please Note: Interested volunteers who were unable to attend the meeting must be able to shadow during another camp session prior to their scheduled shift. We will contact you with more information.
- Volunteers must provide notice of emergency absence by 8:30am on the day of their shift.
- Once confirmed, if volunteers need to cancel a full week shift, volunteers must provide a minimum 72 hours notice.
- Volunteers who do not provide adequate notice of absences will not be eligible for future volunteer opportunities.
- Volunteers are provided with letters recording their hours and verifying their contributions for community service and other service projects.

Camp COVID-19 Protocols:- Face coverings are optional on campus. Individual faculty may require masks in their studios or classrooms. CSMA supports faculty in making this decision for their individual studios/classes.
- Volunteers will not attend if feeling ill and will notify program staff by 8:30am the day of their shift.
Volunteers must follow the operational protocols established by CSMA.
