The Johann Strauss Foundation Award for Advanced Study of Music in Austria
Awarded, in first order, to a student or students with satisfactory academic standing in an official Music Program at any Alberta post-secondary institution who is/are planning to study music in Austria. In the absence of qualified registered student candidates, the award may be given to an advanced musician, post-doctoral fellow or junior music instructor wishing to advance their music skills through the study of music in Austria. Selection will be based on musical merit as demonstrated in an audition and interview. This award is given to support the individual's expenses (travel, accommodation, tuition/registration fees) incurred during the study in Austria.
